LEIGH T. GREGORY—Owner, Executive Producer, Creative Director
Leigh is an award-winning talent who writes, produces, and directs. He’s written and produced on-air promos and high profile presentations for FX and the WB, and he’s produced and directed corporate projects for Gap, Verizon, GM, Washington Mutual, Toyota, Johnson & Johnson, Banana Republic, and many more. His varied and well-rounded entertainment career is the result of a life-long strategy to live a creative life and enjoy the process.
Leigh started in Boston as a singer/songwriter, then moved to music producer. He founded Bright Tomorrow Productions in 1986 as a music publishing company. But music was just the beginning. He then added acting, musical theatre, and voice-overs to his resume. He’s been an active member of SAG and AFTRA for over 15 years and has appeared in numerous theatrical productions, corporate industrials and TV spots.
While spending time on the set, he developed an interest in working on the other side of the camera, as a director. It wasn’t long before he used his industry experience to land a position as a producer/director with BI Worldwide, a prestigious full-service marketing and performance improvement company. While there, he added Avid editor to his skill set. Reaching audiences has always been first and foremost in Leigh’s mind.
One of his favorite ways to communicate is through writing. He’s written short stories, two musicals, a sitcom pilot, a Two and a Half Men spec, and two feature scripts. Throughout his career he’s studied marketing and advertising, which is how he discovered his love for writing promo copy. Leigh’s communicated with people all over the world. He’s traveled extensively and worked in over 12 countries, lived in England, and worked in over 81 cities in 23 states in the US. But he’s happy to call beautiful Burbank, his home.
MARGUERITE GREGORY—Co-Owner, Producer, Localization Producer
Marguerite brings a wealth of project management and language experience to Bright Tomorrow. “Localization involves taking a product i.e. media, game, website, software, and making it linguistically and culturally appropriate to the target locale (country/region and language) where it will be used and sold.” She’s bilingual (English/French) and holds a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, and an IT Project certification from CompTIA.
She was raised in Paris, and was a translator for many years before advancing to Director of Production at US localization companies. She realized that the world was getting flat long before the national best-selling book (The World is Flat) by Thomas Friedman hit bookstores. She took her love of language and the entertainment industry and garnered the skills necessary to localize content and media so she could help tech and entertainment companies participate in the shift to the global marketplace.
She was soon giving localization presentations at conferences and to potential clients. She has since helped her many clients prepare for, or better capitalize on the vast opportunities in Tomorrow’s global economy. While doing so, she’s handled projects with 100+ vendors in 25+ countries, and traveled to every continent in the world. Her clients include Gap, Intel, Ecolab, Sun Microsystems, GE, and other multi-national corporations.
TRACEY THOMPSON BUSA—Director of Business Development
Tracey, a native Californian born in Hollywood and raised in La Jolla, brings over 28 years of sales and marketing experience to Bright Tomorrow Productions. She’s also well versed in public relations. But her talents don’t stop there. She comes to sales side of production with 20 years of experience in front of the camera as a model, spokesperson and SAG actress. Her fondness for the arts led her and her husband to found the Baconian Players, a Shakespearian Repertory Company, were they produced, directed and acted in several of Shakespeare’s works.
Not one to rest on her many talents, she even brings set design, wardrobe, coordination and make up experience to the team, and has worked with Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Kevin Costner, Robert Zemeckis and Kathleen Kennedy among other top individuals in the industry.
She’s a natural born people person and the enthusiasm she brings to life and her job is contagious. She’s also one fantastic party planner. Tracey is a valued addition to the BTP Team.
