WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?
We wrote these scripts for a Learning Tree IT Management course. It was a one-day shoot with 7 actors and 6 extras. This video introduces the case study and shows the divergent personalities of the IT team the attendees will be managing during the 3-day course.

TOYOTA
“Hire a Hero” - Produced and Directed for Toyota, USA. Toyota launched a cool initiative to encourage dealers to hire returning Iraq war vets. This video was used to launch the program. We acquired stock footage from the four branches of the military and shot Don Esmond here in California. The final DVD was sent to Toyota dealers nationwide.

GAP
"Rewards" - Produced and Directed for Gap. Gap wanted to launch a major recognition program for store employees and they chose BI to design and launch it. Part of the launch kit for the stores included a DVD. This video was used to show the benefits of recognition and give an exciting overview of the program. We did a one-day shoot in Miami (South Beach) with two cameras, two locations and a host of Gap managers, directors, employees and great clients.

GENERAL MOTORS
“Rock & Roll” - Produced for General Motors’ Pontiac/GMC division. Live Band Alert! This was a meeting opener for a Pontiac GMC event at La Quinta Resort and Spa in La Quinta, CA. GM has hours of beautifully shot car footage. Also got to pick footage from what were their latest commercials at the time. Add the cool graphics and effects and sweetness abounds. We didn’t work with the music track because the video was designed to play while a live band the original meeting theme song to a click track.

FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS
This is the wrap-up video in the series that we wrote and produced for Learning Tree IT Management course. This shows a happy functional team after all the preferred management practices have been implemented.

GAP INC OUTLET
"Outlet Rewards” - Produced and Directed for Gap Inc. Outlet. Another recognition program launch video. We did a one-day shoot in San Francisco with executives and an on-camera spokesperson. We had to do a lot of thinking on our feet because we found out the day before the shoot that the location we planned on was not available. Thanks to a great team effort and the Gap Inc Outlet team going the extra mile to make it work we reset a new location in record time.

JOHNSON & JOHNSON-ETHICON
“The Richard Jones Award” - Produced and Directed for Johnson & Johnson Ethicon. The good people at Ethicon wanted a video to encourage excellence in their sales force by showing them the example of one of their hardest working salespeople, Richard Jones. Richard Jones succumbed to cancer, leaving behind his wife and two sons. I had the privilege of interviewing them and past winners of the Richard Jones award – a rewarding experience I will never forget. We shot in Dallas, TX.

BANANA REPUBLIC
Banana Republic “Rewards” - Produced and Directed for Banana Republic. We’ve done a lot of rewards and recognition launch videos thanks to our good friends at BI Worldwide. Although they have a stellar in-house production team, they call on us for special projects where prior client relationships and proximity are key. We shot the store B-roll in Miami. The Senior VP of Stores and Operations was shot in New Orleans while he attending a company event.

VALVOLINE REWARDS
Valvoline “Rewards” - Produced and Directed for Valvoline. This video was used to launch their rewards program. Got to watch lots of Nascar footage and check out their latest tv commercials for B-roll. Had some fun with the graphics on this one as well. There was no on-camera talent or executive involved. But we did get to do a shoot of the program materials. The next best thing to working with talent is getting to tell your story with just VO, existing footage, cool graphics and music.
|
STERIS
“Growth by Design” - Produced and Directed for Steris. This was a meeting opener for a national event. Steris has some of the coolest innovations in surgical technology that I’ve ever seen. It was a great project to research and prepare for. We shot on location in Minneapolis with one actor. Fun shoot.

NIP TUCK PRESENTATION-FEMALE SELL
Written and Produced for The WB. We did this one at the same time as the “Male Sell”. Reworking the presentation to appeal to women was quite interesting. Keeping it sexy but not too racy was quite the challenge. And moving the focus from the cool fashion and hot cars to the interplay of the relationships at the heart of the show was like doing surgery. We learned a lot. There are worse things than being consigned to watch three seasons of Nip/Tuck.
|
TOYOTA OUTFITTERS
“Outfitters” - Produced and Directed for the BI Toyota Sales Team. Shot on location in a theater in Saint Paul, MN. We had 10 main talent and 35 extras. It was a one day shoot and I had to shoot four scenes. Can you say, “Speed Shooting?” The video was part of the sales presentation that won the business.
|
DEX MEDIA
"Dex Trex" - Produced and Directed for Dex Media. Green screen shoot on location in Denver, CO. This was big fun because we shot in a large studio with costumes, props, etc. All the actors were execs in the company and they gave it their all and had a lot of fun. The shoot was a hoot, and I got to keep two of the chairs. Woo hoo!
